Hyperventilation
10 years ago this month, Sierra and I rode the TransRockies 7 day mountain bike stage race. This flickr account is old enough that there's an album in here of the event. I was a pretty new rider and, looking back, it does seem like we did a kind of crazy thing. Today I rode up one of the trails I could remember from stage 1: Hyperventilation. And it's still a hell of a climb! It didn’t seem any easier than I remember (but really - what do I even remember from a decade ago?!) but it sure was fun cruising down a bit of memory lane with lovely Fernie hosts Paula and Jeff. I love bikes.
And I am ever so grateful that I have the capacity to do this.
