Fort Belvoir Breast Cancer Awareness 2016 5K
FORT BELVOIR, Va. (October 22, 2016) More than 700 military personnel and community members show their support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by competing in Fort Belvoir's annual 5K Run/Walk at the Belvoir Hospital.
The event, which emerged from a partnership between the USO Warrior and Family Support Center and the Belvoir Hospital Oncology Department, aims to not only recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month but also to increase the community's knowledge of the disease and promote early detection.
