Welcome to Monumenta, “The City of Yesterday’s Tomorrow, Today!” And what would
a Utopian Supercity be without its official and ever-vigilant protector? Enter the aged Zarathustra. Once heralded as the Zenith of Humanity, he must now pass the torch
of urban guardian angel to his longtime protégé, Caveman Robot; the occasion being
marked by the unveiling of a new statue in his honor. As the ceremony gets underway, however, we see the interdimensional gorilla dictator, Ape Lincoln and his squadron of sinister simian henchmonkeys poised to unleash their plot of diabolical destruction upon the city that our metallic hero has just been sworn to protect! Ape Lincoln’s dream of opening a dimensional portal from which his tyrannical army from Apemerica will surge into Monumenta bringing mayhem, bloodshed and banana peels is complicated, however,when local, down-on-his-luck, sad sack Peter ‘Loser Pete’ Malfortuna literally stumbles upon the plan. As Caveman Robot’s first act as official town guardian, he swoops in to save Loser Pete, but then inadvertently winds up being the linchpin in Ape Lincoln’s evil pièce de résistance. Does Caveman Robot have what it takes to be a true hero or are his super-circuits and mega-metal frame not up for a job meant for super-brains and mega-muscle? Will Loser Pete ever catch a break?
