Piano Man
First off….Happy New Years! I hope everyone has kicked off 2010 on a good note…I truly think that this is going to be an exciting year for everyone, especially if you follow technology.
Anyways, Im slowly catching up on streams, I’ve fallen far behind, as the last few weeks have been a total whirlwind for me. Luckily, I have been able to slip in time to shoot, I just haven’t had time to process and post my shots….I’m still organizing my new computer setup and software.
Piano Man is a good friend of mine: A surfer, a teacher, freethinker, and some may say even a comedian. Turns out he is a good assistant for photoshoots too.
Last week I did a shoot for a friend of mine who is an actress. In between wardrobe changes my buddy Brian (Piano Man) sat down at the piano and began rattling through a compilation of tunes in a very Victor Borge type manor. I decided to grab a few frames while being entertained. The strobes were setup near by, however, the strobes did not fire on the very first frame as they had gone into stand-by. Turns out that this first frame, just so happened to be one of my favorites. Brian’s Silhouette is lit only by a small lamp to the side of the upright piano. This is the result. Brian, if you ever record an album of Ragtime hits….this shot may have to be the cover for the album.
