283/365: I <3 Cowls
Cowls aren't really well known outside the knitting world. I believe they're called something else but I've never really known anyone to wear one other than other knitters (and maybe skiers/snowboarders). I believe it's the best invention ever. Better than a scarf in my opinion because there no loose ends that get tangled like with regular scarves. I love that you can tuck them away in your coat but it'll still keep you cosy. They're quick knits..scarfs tend to get boring . And they're great for California's mild winters and maybe even colder ones as a base layer.
I knit this cowl out of my own handspun (from Funky Carolina's handspun). The merino was sooooo soft and knit up, is wonderful against the skin. I started this cowl when I moved and finally got around to finishing up this week. It's keeping me warm during our recent chilly nights. Hooray for cosy cowls!
