Parrot Tulip; Monet?

I bought these flowers for my mom today. Turned out she had a hard day at work, so they were well received. I have taken these photos with her Nikon camera. I am repeatedly impressed with its macro function. -This image reminds me of a Monet painting, perhaps it is the colour or the motion.
