RIP Dill

I can't believe he's gone... On Sunday I noticed blood in his urine, off we went to the vet, upon examining him she said his kidneys were very enlarged and she could feel a lump... still just in case she's given him baytril and metacam and told to come back the next day. He was completely incontinent and there was a lot of blood mixed with the urine so despite my best efforts to convince myself it was just an UTI I knew it was bad...

On Monday we went back to the vet and she confirmed two large, solid lumps on his kidneys... despite being a bit quieter than usual, Dill was still bright, moving around and eating normally, but since it'd be a matter of days and he'd have to be on constant pain medication and the kidneys were most likely shutting down already, I've decided to have him put to sleep straight away.

It was all so quick, unexpected, and the degeneration of the kidneys completely unnoticed I'm still in shock. Goodbye Dill-Dill, hope you've had a good life, we will miss you... say hello to everyone and don't let Parsley beat you up!
