Chapel in the Priory Church, Cartmel, Cumbria

The Priory Church at Cartmel in the Furness area of Cumbria dates back to the 13th century. Many of the Priory buildings were destroyed in the Reformation in the late 1530s, but the beautiful Church and its gatehouse managed to survive. Within the Grade I-listed Church - reckoned to be the finest in the north-west of England - is this wonderful side Chapel.
