Cawsand Bay, Cornwall
The twin former fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are on the Rame Peninsula in the far south-east of Cornwall, where they overlook Cawsand Bay and Plymouth Sound. It is virtually impossible to tell where one begins and other one ends, though there is a marker on the wall of a house on the road that connects the two. Remarkably, until the middle of the 19th century Kingsand - nearest the camera - was in Devon and Cawsand was in Cornwall. The boundary is actually just beyond the clocktower, seen on the right of the picture. This is a relatively quiet part of Cornwall and well off the beaten track. And it's one of my favourite places.
