Millbrook Lake at low tide, Cornwall

The far south-east of Cornwall is an area that is virtually ignored by visitors, yet it contains some beautiful countryside and coastline. It also has two large tidal creeks that lead to the Hamoaze, the stretch of water that is fed by the Rivers Tamar and Lynher before it becomes Plymouth Sound. Millbrook Lake is one of these tidal creeks, and sits opposite the naval base at Devonport. This was taken from the tiny hamlet of Anderton, one of several settlements around the lake. It will be nice to go back when the coronavirus crisis is over.
