Fore Street, Totnes, Devon

Fore Street in Totnes is simply one of the most beautiful streets in any British town that I know. Set on a hill that rises gently from the River Dart below, the street has numerous beautiful old buildings, including Eastgate in the centre of the picture. This was the Elizabethan entrance to the old walled town and had to be rebuilt following a fire in 1990.
