The river mouth at Looe
At low tide the Looe River at Looe in south-east Cornwall is so shallow that it can easily be waded across. As well as being an important holiday venue, Looe has a well-established fishing industry. However the boats can only unload their catch at the fish market on the eastern side of the river when the tide is in.
