Lt. Col. Steven Gventer, former commander of Battle Group Poland and 2nd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, relinquished command to Lt. Col. Christopher L’Heureux in a traditional change of command ceremony at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland July 25. The U.S.-led battle group, comprised of U.S., U.K. and Romanian soldiers, serve with the Polish 15th Mechanized Brigade as a deterrence force in northeast Poland in support of NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence.
