Klammsee, Kaprun - Austria

It was a fantastic walk through the Sigmund-Thun Klamm and round the Klammsee. In the background you can see the glacier Kitzsteinhorn.

 

The Klammsee is a reservoir and is located in the municipality of Kaprun in Salzburg in Austria.

 

The Klammsee is an underground storage with a volume of 200,000 m³ and part of the power station Kaprun. The dam Bürgsperre with a height of 19 m accumulates the Kaprun Ache.
