The forgotten passenger lift at Bath Spa Station

Here is one for the curious. At the bottom of the stairs from platform one on the left is a blocked off door. Behind it is this long forgotten passenger lift, that used to take passengers up from the Widcombe entrance to the platform for Bristol. It is a beautiful paneled Edwardian construction and includes an old luggage trolley. All this will disappear soon as the station is upgraded. You can still glimpse it through the window from the car park.
