The Spitfire Grill (it's had different names) opened 1954 when Douglas Aircraft workers crowded in for breakfast & lunch. The aircraft factory was demolished in 1975, but the Grill--with its collection of WWII aircraft memorabilia--continued. Sold just before the pandemic, its new owners hope to remodel & reopen soon. At Santa Monica Airport.
