Barcaldine's Radio Theatre (Central West Queensland, Outback Australia)

The Radio Theatre was built in 1926, operating silent pictures until 1931 when 'talkies' were introduced. Movies operated frequently in the Radio until the television became a common household good, with screenings at the theatre ceasing in 1974. The hall was repurposed as an indoor cricket facility in the 1980s, then converted into an arts council in 1995.
