Usher Hall stairs 1
Edinburgh's Usher Hall underwent a major refurbishment in 2009 when this staircase with the light saber down the centre was added. I had seen Semi-d's brilliant shots of the stairs on Flickr, but saw the staircase for the first time in the flesh only recently when I was there for a concert (Toumani Diabaté - wonderful). I knew right away that I would have to arrange to come back to photograph them. Thanks to Usher Hall staff for being so helpful.
