MareNostrum can supercharge research across many disciplines. With more computing power comes the need for more energy (lots of it), and reducing MareNostrum’s energy consumption without sacrificing speed is an ongoing challenge for the hardware and software teams at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS).
