SSsshrike and SSssnake....
We came upon this Ssshrike and Ssssnake as the Ssssun was Ssssetting. I was hoping to ssssee the whole sssscene play out as a Kestrel was waiting to sssswoop in and ssssteal the ssssnake but it was too sssshy even though I was using my car as a blind. The Ssshrike eventually flew away with the ssssnake so I have no idea how the sssstory ended.
Shrike and deadly coral snake! We watched the Shrike fly down in front of our car to catch it and luckily it flew on a fence post for a couple of seconds before flying off. Sadly I couldn't move to get far enough back to capture the whole snake and move to get rid of the shadow but thought it was kind of a cool catch for the Shrike.
