Golden Gate Splash

Golden Gate Bridge

San Francisco, CA

04-30-21

One of many photos I've taken of the Golden Gate Bridge. This was snapped right as I was about to get in my car after touring Fort Point and getting some shots from the roof of the fort. I also hung around near the edge of the building, hoping to get some "splash" shots, but there weren't any really great opportunities at the time.

I had lined up some great shots under this fence, and then walked over to the door of my car, and saw a wave approaching. I snapped this and then got a bit wet when the water kept coming. This was the last photo I took at the Fort Point location on my first day in San Francisco.

I've taken so many photos of this iconic bridge I need something "special" in the shot in order to even consider processing. Lucky wave. And thank the Lord the camera is okay too. (my first DSLR, a Rebel t5i, was ruined during an unsuspecting wave splash at Dana Point in Orange County CA in 2016 and I make attempts to be really careful since that happened!)
