Hosp - Emerg. Admit then Stay Seizure Eye Damage Stay A

Epilepsy - I had a bad seizure some years ago at work. [I've had a few dozens since] People said I froze up an fell over like an iron board, hitting the edge of a workbench on the way down with my eye socket. I took this hours later in the hospital with my cellphone. On 5th type of meds. I still have them but the recovery seems quicker. Injuries such as this, or much worse, can still happen easily and have. I have the initial presence of mind to get to the floor but my friends later told me that I get up as if I am frantically looking for something. It is at that point, I could walk off a platform or into traffic. The blurry strange moving things move near and far from my, I want to hit them. [EMS personell] I am not able to understand the noises they are making. I then realize that it is supposed to be speech but they may as well be speaking German. After a while I would say "Tony" because I think that's what they are asking. Almost arriving into the ER... What year is it Tony? I once answered, "A bad one". The lady smiled. It was a good sign: Some semblance of a sense of humor is even better than the correct answer when it comes to testing for brain damage. I had turned cyanic due to my breathing stoppage for a while. Sometimes people who have this type of epilepsy resume breathing, sometimes they don't and that's it. Not that I'll ever know. The nightmarish dream as one is coming out of it are like descending into hell. That's the worst. Actually there is no dreaming during the seizure itself. I sometimes have multiple seizures. The BP skyrockets dangerously high 190/117 and all muscles contract. Hours later even my fingertips are sore. I live by myself and I have woken up on the bedroom or the kitchen floor. I am afraid of cracking my head on the hard surfaces in the restroom. Luckily I do have quite a bit of warning. My teeth micro-chatter when I put the tips very close to each other. and my head turns in steps. My hands feel like mittens and one sheet of paper can feel thick like a telephone book. Things can also "telescope", seeming far-off. Time seems to move in discrete steps instead of smoothly. Strange stuff, no? I told my friends that unless I fell badly, not to call the ambulance. There is nothing that can be done. Just place me on my side so I can clear my airway if I just ate and some just came up. [not pretty] I cannot be woken up until it is completely over in 5 to 15 minutes. I usually get a chance to place a lower bite block in my mouth so I don't spasm-bite my tongue or slice/bite through it from a fall.
