We can leave our cozy corners and explore the world like a butterfly. We can meet real people and make memories that matter.
Or we can sink in our couches and roam like a fly addicted to the toxic sweetness of the social networks. Looking at people's lives through the colorful filters, we can consume the distorted reality and get locked inside our own imagination.

I captured the first image during a hike in the Smoky Mountains last week with friends. The second image was captured yesterday while I was in Starbucks - a fly sat on the screen of my laptop and I quickly opened the Facebook intro page to make this composition. I think this diptych perfectly portrays the human condition in the modern world.
