Medicinal Uses : Powdered rhizomes of Aambal are given for dyspepsia , diarrhoea and piles . Infusion is emollient and diuretic and is used for blenorrhaqia and diseases of urinary tract. Macerated leaves are used for erysipelas and seeds as stomachic and restorative . Decoration of flowers is narcotic .
