Chakka ada (ചക്ക അട) / Jackfruit Wheat Cake / Steamed Jackfruit Dumplings

Chakka Ada (ചക്ക അട) is made with the sweet bits of Jack fruit bulbs incorporated with rice or wheat flour and jaggery syrup, the wet dough wrapped and rolled carefully in plantain leaves. Chakka ada is a seasonal snack, but if you can store the jackfruit as chakka varattiyathu you can make the chakka ada at any time.
