Goðafoss
The Goðafoss is a spectacular horseshoe waterfall in North East Iceland. It is said that in the year 1000 AD when Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði made Christianity the official religion in Iceland, he cast his pagan idols into the Goðafoss, hence giving it the name "Waterfall of the Gods".
This image was taken at sunset, around 11pm, before driving on to the somewhat-nearby Aldeyjarfoss - at which I captured the sunrise two hours later.
I've been a bit slack posting images from my recent trip, and this is one have just finished processing. As I am off to New Zealand in two days for six days of shooting, I figured it was time to get another shot up from my last trip before a new batch of images hits my PC for processing.
