Like most kids of the 80s, Saturday mornings as a child were spent in my pajamas in front of the TV with a bowl of cereal. The most important part of my week was to learn downfalls of greed and selfishness from the Smurfs or that knowing was half the battle from GI Joe. Thanks to He-Man and She-Ra for informing me that if I was touched in a bad way I needed to tell someone I trust.
I still enjoy cartoons, but the ones aired now make no sense to me, and we as a society wonder why the kids of today are failing in school. I am not saying that cartoons are the answer but at least back in the day they served a purpose. Now it is all bullying and fart jokes.
