Baguette French Toast with Bacon, Caremelised Apples and Apple Syrup - Icoco Cafe & Food Store
Baguette French Toast with Bacon, Caremelised Apples and Apple Syrup - Icoco Cafe & Food Store AUD12.50
First impressions was fantastic! There was enough here for both of us. The caramelised apples were almost dried and gave it a really good chewy texture and the tart, supposedly apple, syrup was a nice foil for the smoky bacon.
If I were picky, I'd say that the French Toast was a bit of a cheat. I prefer the egg mixture to totally saturate the bread so that it is like a fluffy omelette. I suspect that they put a bit of egg mixture in a hot pan and slapped the baguette on it. Still good though.
