Another spicy visit to Tooraking! Still good, but I still don't think I could have spicy Sichuan food like this every day :)

 

The tripe was quite well prepared. The texture was crunchy like a fresh piece of celery. I think it has been cured in soda to soften it. Another standout this time was the pickled carrots. The chilli and Sichuan Pepper really goes well with carrot!

 

We also learnt another trick that they used in the Silky Tofu with Crab Roe. There might be a small dollop of roe somewhere in the sauce, but we could taste chunks of salted duck egg yolk too. Not bad. The salted duck egg rolls were a bit bland though, not even the accompanying dipping sauce could brighten it up.
