David with Jaslyn's cake

Jaslyn wanted Thai for her birthday, as so we went to Poppy Thai.

The Thai food was quite good, very rich, creamy, and full of coconut. The spices were a bit toned down though, which is probably why I think Ying Thai 2, in Lygon Street, Carlton is still my favourite Thai place in Melbourne.

The serves of the main dishes were quite decent too, but the tom yum soup was a bit steep at AUD7.90 for a small bowl.

Raymond also picked up a Black Forest cake from Cake World for dessert.

This was followed by a bit of Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix to work off the dinner and cake!
