"We be jammin’!"
Words of an obvious friend of the Growler community in Neptunus Lex. He flew Classic Hornets (A/B/C/D) before retiring. If you call retirement flying passengers for joyrides and then signing up to fly DACT in a contracted F-21 Kfir while writing blog posts: www.neptunuslex.com/
Sadly it was the DACT that cost us one Retired Captain Carroll LeFon, USN. A great blogger on both military aviation and conservative politics.
His last blog post was a warning about how far the Obama administration might go with their trigger fingers... seriously. Perhaps Neptunus didn't want his oath to defend the Constitution taken to a point where bureaucrats replaced judges.
Another of his last blog posts was about, surprise, surprise, Sir Andrew Breitbart. "Breitbart was a happy warrior. Which made those he warred against unhappy. Thus the hate, which of course he earned. By being happy."
Finally, Neptunus wrote a lovely blog post about a recent visit NAS Whidbey. Unlike with most other blogs, the comments are also worth reading. Neptunus wrote: "I even got the chance to spend 30 minutes in the EA-18G “Growler” tactical flight simulator. Which was pretty darned slick, I have to tell you – a great platform, and a wonderful opportunity for a new generation of naval aviators to grow and learn. And, oh, how I miss my air-to-air radar, HUD and yes, I admit it: Nosewheel steering."
Indeed, "We be jammin’!"
