A Boeing MH-47G Against the Blue
Hope you like a MH-47G Special Ops Chinook against the blue sky. I decided on this one to hike the shutter speed to 1/180 so the detail of the MH-47G could be shown easily. You are still getting some rotating rotors, but still can easily see for instance the wrench and the pitot probe sticking out under the refueling boom.
Very grateful the 160th SOAR, 4th Battalion was kind enough to follow HFF's Visitor Services Director (and unofficial Prime Minister of Paine Field) Vanessa Dunn's parting request to "make some noise". Happy I hiked by the world-famous Paine Field Windsock on Bernie Webber Drive as this black helicopter lifted off and the crew was told I'd be there.
Please mare sure to visit the 2015 Paine Field Aviation Day photoset for more photos from arrival day & the actual event. Many thanks.
