Ocelot'a Love

Last weekend, Sarah and I boarded a train bound for Seattle. After gorging on microwaved train food and witnessing Bald Eagles flying outside our window (sorry, no photos), we finally arrived. Our mission? To see Gogol Bordello and System of a Down in concert at the Key Arena! Of course, we couldn't end our adventure there! The next day we took the bus over to the Woodland Park Zoo, and it was there where I met Bella (10) and her 3-month-old ocelot Evita!

Evita is incredibly playful, energetic and careless -- constantly chasing after her mother, planning mini ambushes as she walks by. Sarah lent me her 300mm lens and I used it to take this shot. I could have done without that leaf creating that green streak, but in the end I think it's a nice touch. Kinda gives the effect of the shot being taken in the wild.

I should have some more Seattle photos up here pretty soon!

Speaking of Sarah, if you haven't done so already, head over to her flickr page! She is a fantastic individual and her photos will move you: www.flickr.com/photos/littlelioness09/
