158/365: TIGER LILY
158/365
Macro Monday
A quick excursion back from Egypt to the UK. Even though the landscaping in our hotel was stunning and there were plenty of beautiful flowers I could have taken macros of, the constant wind made it impossible to take a focused shot.
These lilies are in my garden in London. Green fingered, I am not! I've been known to kill a cactus ... or 2 ... or 5 so it is almost a miracle that these are flowering. I planted 5 of them in a big pot last summer and thought that I would get a couple of weeks enjoyment out of them and that would be it. I was surprised shocked estonished delighted to see they did not only survive but have multiplied since last year and I've now got about 15 stems with 4-5 blossoms each.
