On the night of January 3rd, 2023, the Portland Korean Church, built in 1905, was set ablaze by a suspected arsonist. Portland fire crews were able to extinguish the fire, saving a nearby residence, but in the end, the church was deemed a total loss. Fearing it would collapse, it was demolished a few days later. This photo shows the moment the church steeple was felled into the ruins of the interior.
