Watts Waste "BK"

This is another of the ex-Marrickville council rear loaders which were part of the Watts Waste fleet, known as “BK” as per its rego. Good thing about this truck was the lack of company advertising apart from the cab doors, so you’re almost driving around unidentified. This was a pretty damn good rear loader compared to the rest of the fleet, packed hard, operated quickly and got moving for its age, reasonably tidy overall with numerous operators too. This truck worked in a number of positions during my time with the company - acted as a spare, was used fulltime on garbage and did a small shopping centre waste and organics run for a while. I found this ACCO sounded the best out of them all, had a bit more growl to the exhaust, which was awesome to listen to while flying across Sydney in the early hours. I do miss working these Compaction Systems bodies, they were really well built and awesome to use. Mad thing about this one in particular was that it still had the single touch pack cycle... one hit of the button did the whole sweep and pack! Dodgy thing was that it lacked working stop buttons and I think reverse was inoperable on one side or maybe even both.
