The 'Abrassa' festival, celebrates the tight bonds between the east African Cabo Verde islands and the city of Rotterdam. The city has a small but thriving local community of Cape Verdians who came to the Rotterdamlands as seafarers.
Captured here is one of the activities: a Cabo Verdian cooking workshop. We tasted some of the culinary results - the combination of instructors and amateur cooks worked quite well! :-)
