Ryan Augustine(back to camera) explains a few things to his father Dan(facing) about the tractor's GPS system before he plants row's of sorghum at the family farm Friday. Dan was re-planting a section of the farm where the corn had been drowned out by recent flooding. Ryan was giving him a hand setting up the high-tech machine and show him a few new things on the high-tech tractor's GPS system.
21-year-old Ryan Augustine has decided to come back to work on the family farm after he has graduated from Iowa State University next year. Ryan says he loves creating excel spreadsheets and creating equations to try and maximize output on the farm. He uses the dinner table to get his work done until he gets his own office space at his dad's house.
