THE Glenlivet
I bought this bottle of scotch in Scotland in 1999 - at THE distillery (they're real serious about their THE).
From what I remember of the complementary shot, it's really good scotch. So good, I had two shots. No, it didn't affect my ability to drive a stick with the wrong hand on the wrong side of the road at all. Really.
It was expensive then, I guess it's even more expensive now - I haven't opened it.
I was told during the distillery tour that if I didn't open the bottle it would last forever - but I'd have to drink it within five years once I opened it.
I've said, time and time again, that I'd open it for some special occasion. Specifically, I had an engagement in mind. But, I haven't even had a date since I brought the bottle home.
Hmm, perhaps I should open it up, get totally wasted, and whore myself out.
