Giant Squirrel, Dharwad, Karnataka

@soniavinayak sure has insane spotting skills, especially from a moving car, thanks to some insane training by our mentors @sam_kehimkar and @alankaryadav598.

Spotting a Malabar Giant Squirrel eating in what is known as its signature eating style. Maybe one of the few good things to happen on my birthday road trip, before all our equipment begun malfunctioning or crashed.

This picture is a dream come true, 3 years in the waiting, especially now when i dont get to shoot wildlife as much. These are the amazing forests of Dharwad, teeming with wildlife even in this dry season.

 

Karnataka always has kickass things to offer, and I promise to be back, with working equipment ofcourse!
