While the Southern Section of Astoria was hardly hit, Ditmars suffered a lot of downed trees, crushed cars and downed powerlines, many of which were still in the street, and live. Streets were sectioned off, but no officials were there to stop people, many of which were taking pictures, and sometimes stepping on the wires.
