Enthralled, Part II (13 of 13)
The story that goes with this picture set:
So, Ethyn was recently in a play called "Enthralled" where he took on the role of a young Victorian gentleman poet who had lost his inspiration to write until he met an unusual muse in his dreams.
The muse turned out to be a succubus who had fallen in love with the romantic poems the poet wrote. Over the next few months, the poet fell in love with the succubus as well. However, as she was a creature of Dreams, their love could only exist in the Dream World. In order to spend more time by her side, the poet started taking hallucinatory drugs that would allow him to remain in the dream state, but in the Waking World his physical body was wasting away.
Meanwhile, the succubus had gone to her father the King of Dreams and begged him to give her a physical body so that she could live in the Waking World with her lover. The king told her he could grant her wish but that she would never be able to return to the Dream World once she stepped in the the Land of the Waking. She didn't care as her only thoughts were of being with her poet. But her wish was granted too late. When she stepped into the physical world, she found her beloved poet collapsed in a coma on his couch. He was trapped in the Dream World and she was trapped in the Waking World—both alone.
