Spot Barnett's Eastwood Blues Revue (6/14/2008) in San Antonio, TX
Veteran Tenor Sax legend Vernon "Spot" Barnett was one of the premier rhythm & blues bandleaders in Texas' chitlin circuit heyday of the 1960's. This poster promoted the last in a series of old-school "Revue"-style extravaganzas that I put together & promoted along with Spot. The core of performers on the show were veterans of the same early San Antonio & South Texas clubs (Eastwood Country Club, The Ebony Lounge, The Keyhole Club, Victory Grill, etc). This was an amazing night, as were each of the previous Eastwood Blues Revues.
