Everything in the middle of nothing

Pusztakettős railway stop is truly one of a kind. Passenger trains only stop here from April to October during the year, but even then you won't see hundreds or even tens of travellers getting off here.

Back in the day when having a car was not a given among locals, the stop and the whole branch line served much larger audiences. In 2009 December the line was closed but was reopened shortly after in mid-2010.

The station building is surrounded by different railway-themed items: old semaphore-signals, pantographs, even a shunting locomotive and part of an M41 engine is on display. Inside the building, there are more, smaller relics showcased by the private collector operating the "museum".
