PERSONAL FUN FACT: Nolee is probably my favorite My Scene character, what with her stunning good looks and my deep sentiment for my Jammin' in Jamaica doll. So naturally I was bonkers for I Love My Friends Nolee the moment we first made contact. She was in the "Princess and the Pauper Lot" of 2019, along with 16 other beautiful comrades. Sadly, her bff Chelsea was no longer present. Only Chelsea's boot and purse remained...where she went, we'll never know! I have to admit though, that if I could have only picked one of the pair, it would have been Miss Nolee anyways. I was stoked when I confirmed my suspicions that this was her factory ensemble. Nolee was still donning it in the bin when we were first sorting through the dolls. Albeit, it was hardly recognizable what with the layer of filth. Compared to the other ladies (and gent) from said lot, Nolee was probably in the best shape. Sure, her kanekalon tresses were muffed up a bit, but she was still tolerable to look at. In fact, to the untrained, non-doll collector's eye, she might have looked "new." something about Nolee that I didn't initially notice was her rooted lashes. Back in the day, I was repulsed by 3 dimensional doll eyelashes, unless of course they were on an American Girl. But my Masquerade Madness My Scene Barbie warmed me up to the idea. I think rooted lashes work best, and look the most flattering on dolls with a larger head mold. So Bratz, My Scene, and Disney dolls rock the rooted eyelashes way better than standard Barbies. I mean, I love my vintage beauties with the rooted eyelashes, but they almost cover their entire eyes! I personally think that this feature on Miss Nolee makes her captivating light blue eyes all that much more appealing!
