(2005-2010) Elizabeth's Riding Outfit
APPROXIMATE RELEASE DATE: 2005-2010
***Elizabeth is wearing her "meet" shoes with this outfit.
PERSONAL FUN FACT: I'll admit, this was my least favorite outfit of Elizabeth's for a long time. Maybe I wasn't as interested in it because it is the color pink. I wasn't planning on buying it right away for my Bitsy doll, but I found this for crazy good deal, so I just couldn't resist it! This outfit most certainly floored me when it arrived in the mail. The seller had listed it as being somewhat dirty (but for the really cheap price, I didn't care). But on the contrary, this outfit didn't have so much as a speck of dirt on it, and it smelled amazing!!! It is truly breathtaking on my Elizabeth doll. The light pink color really compliments her light blonde hair and stunning blue eyes. It's certainly not my least favorite outfit anymore...I still can't believe I was lucky enough to get this in such great condition, and for so cheap! I do wonder if colonial women actually wore pink riding outfits, or if this was just Mattel's way of making it more appealing to young children. After all, in the original books, Elizabeth was brunette not a blonde.
