(1995) Barbie So Much To Do! Post Office Accessories

PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: I'm amazed at how many accessories we got with our secondhand Post Office and even more amazed that, even after being played with a lot, this has stayed intact. We got this set and one of our Feeding Fun Stables together, from the same seller. Both were in unbelievably good/complete condition and, if I remember right, they had a lot of other neat playsets too but these were a little more money than we normally paid for playsets. (I've seen people LITERALLY give away playsets because they don't want to put them back in their vehicles.) Anyway, we got a ton of play out of these accessories. I made Chandler (1992 My First Ken) and some of my other guy dolls who played his friends work at this post office circa 2004. I got a lot of enjoyment out of making them load this into a cart, stamp them, weigh them, and sort them. Of course, now that I've actually been to the real post office myself and seen how it actually works, what I made Chandler and his friends do there, with these props, was probably NOTHING like reality! My favorite part of this set, as a kid, probably was the mail itself--the packages, postcards, and letters. I mean, BARBIE MAIL? These had so many uses--making Barbie receive mail, these sitting on the doll's counter, the doll bringing these out to ship/send. And so realistic! I am as excited by this set now as I was at the age of seventeen!
