PERSONAL FUN FACT: Wow, I seriously can't believe I've had this doll since the spring of 2012. It feels like a lifetime ago, but at the same time, it's hard to wrap my head around the fact that this cute Dana doll has been part of my Bratz collection for that long. It still feels like yesterday that I found her in the "Bratz Shoe Bin." I'm pretty sure I got that lot in April or May of that year, since I recall that Dad was still alive, and that I was in the process of dressing the dolls from the haul the first few days after he passed away, as a way of distracting myself. Dana was actually one of the cooler finds from the bin. I had quite a few of the other dolls already by that point, so she was one of the only new additions to my collection that wasn't duplicated. This Dana doll is very pretty, yet at the same time, I've always found her to be a bit goofy looking. Her awkward ice skating body doesn't help her out in the silly department. Plus, it makes her a pain in the rear to display. She tends to fall over when I stand her, and since her knees can't bend and snap, she has trouble sitting. At least she has Ice Champions Maribel, who is equally as troublesome, to sit with on display. I really love Dana's hairstyle. These sorts of long ponytails with twists are always classy on a Bratz doll (obviously I had to recreate my Dana's hairstyle, since she was a disaster zone when I adopted her). What I find really unique about Dana is the fact that her eyes look like snowflakes. The little stars in her irises, which sort of look like snowflakes, paired with her glittery ice blue eye shadow really remind me of the winter season. A mark of just how long I've had this Dana doll is the pair of earrings she is wearing. The pair of snowflake earrings she has on are from one of the first packs of cheap holiday earrings that Dad bought me right after Christmas 2011, for my Bratz dolls. I know that she wasn't the first doll to wear these, but she's worn them since around the time she became part of the family. I never added anything to them, since they are already huge, I just modified the posts so they fit in her ears better. I really can't remember a time when this Dana doll didn't grace the winter themed section of my display, and if she wasn't there one day, I know it would feel empty without her.
