Maja Valles (THEMIS_IOTD_20120719)
The streamlined island in this image formed within the channel of Maja Valles. The flow of water was deflected by the crater leaving material in the lee of the crater and indicating that the flow of water was from the bottom of the image towards the top. The scene here measures 18 x 66 kilometers (11 x 41 miles).
