The Witch Head Nebula (IC2118) - 2025-01-27 - Winter Star Party 2025
This image was originally concieved as a two-panel mosaic with Rigel on the top panel and the nebula in the bottom panel. The idea was to display both the reflection nebula, and its light source, Rigel. Rigel's glow, which can be seen at the top of this image, is so bright that it ruined the top panel, and nearly ruined the bottom panel that is shown here. Because of this, I elected to present the Witch Head nebula as a single image that does not include Rigel.
